Mike Lee (R-Utah) joined his Republican colleagues in condemning the Democrat-backed infrastructure bill. In an interview with WABC talk radio Sunday, he said if the bill passes then it will create a \u201creverse Robin Hood\u201d effect where the government robs the poor to support the rich.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmericans can\u2019t afford more reckless spending,\u201d Lee stated. \u201cWe haven\u2019t seen text, we haven\u2019t seen estimates about how much this bill will cost. We haven\u2019t even seen what Democrats in the White House could like in the bill. We need a real debate on these issues and not just a rubber stamp on partisan blunder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Utah lawmaker went on to argue that middle-class Americans will be the most hurt as they find their purchasing power begin to diminish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats, to be honest, should be embarrassed to go home to real Americans paying the price Biden-nomics\u2026another multi-trillion dollar inflation bomb, that\u2019s what this is,\u201d he continued. \u201cThis inflation bomb that they are proposing, which some are estimating now could involve about $4 trillion, is only going to worsen the already frightening inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LeaderMcConnell?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LeaderMcConnell<\/a> is right\u2014no raising the debt ceiling. <\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s admin is refusing to even tell the Senate when the money runs out. We invited <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SecYellen?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SecYellen<\/a> to brief us so she could talk and we could listen.
