Jim Banks (R-Ind.) has argued Nancy Pelosi was responsible for the breakdown of security on Capitol Hill during the January 6 protest. In an interview on Sunday, the Indiana lawmaker said Pelosi had superior authority over Capitol police and its actions as House Speaker.<\/p>\n<p>Banks stressed Pelosi has sought to deflect attention from her own failure to prevent clashes at the U.S. Capitol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpeaker Pelosi is not interested in an investigation,\u201d he asserted. \u201cShe\u2019s only interested in pushing a narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi recently blocked both Banks and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) from participating in the January 6 Commission. Banks and Jordan have argued the commission was not interested in finding the truth and only seeks to demonize conservatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Speaker Pelosi trusts <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepAdamSchiff?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepAdamSchiff<\/a> to serve on the January 6th Select Committee, even though Schiff pushed the Russia hoax for years. <\/p>\n<p>But not <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJimBanks?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepJimBanks<\/a>, a veteran, who deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. <\/p>\n<p>What a joke.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Judiciary GOP (@JudiciaryGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1418585466224398339?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This comes as Pelosi appointed Rep.
