In an interview this week, a Taliban spokesman said the group would lay down their weapons when a new government has been acceptable to all sides for negotiation.<\/p>\n<p>The group said they did not believe in a monopolization of power and asserted this strategy had never led to a prosperous ruling body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to make it clear that we do not believe in the monopoly of power because any government who wants to monopolize power in Afghanistan in the past, they were not successful governments,\u201d Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen explained. \u201cSo, we do not want to repeat that failed formula.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Kabul regime has lost control of borders with trade value of over $2.8 Billion to the Taliban.
