(Win McNamee\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The lawmakers asked the FBI to share additional details including how tips were considered to be \u201crelevant,\u201d how many tips it shared with the Trump White House, whether tips were ever fully investigated and if the Bureau still had copies of the tips. The lawmaker also asked why potential witnesses identified through the tip line were never contacted or interviewed.<\/p>\n<p>In the FBI\u2019s letter, the agency noted that it gave the tips to the Office of the White House Counsel because that was the \u201crequesting entity.\u201d The Bureau also said the Kavanaugh background investigation involved different procedures than the FBI\u2019s criminal probes. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/09\/24\/deborah-ramirez-kavanaugh-accuser\/\">(RELATED: Second Kavanaugh Accuser Was Unsure If Judge Carried Out Assault)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In mid-2018, after Trump nominated then <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/09\/14\/kavanaugh-me-too-accuser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Judge Brett Kavanaugh<\/a> to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, several women came forward with <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/09\/14\/kavanaugh-me-too-accuser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">allegations<\/a> he had sexually assaulted or harassed them. But <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/11\/04\/senate-judiciary-kavanaugh-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Judiciary Committee<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/10\/02\/kavanaugh-fbi-investigation-witnesses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FBI<\/a> investigations determined the accusations were unsubstantiated and the Senate <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">confirmed<\/a> Kavanaugh in October 2018.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the seven Democratic senators gave Wray until Aug. 31, 2021 to respond to their questions. In addition to Whitehouse and Coons, Sens.
