Reports on Thursday said the Treasury Department listed a Cuban military and political leader, along with the Interior Ministry Special Brigade, as those who would face sanctions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just the beginning. The United States will continue to sanction individuals responsible for oppression of the Cuban people,\u201d Biden said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>A State Department spokesperson said the situation in Cuba has remained a top priority for the Biden administration.
