The claim stems from a website that says it publishes \u201chumor, parody, and satire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=117576263925817&amp;id=100070203318567\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lengthy post<\/a> claims the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General\u2019s Corps on July 8 convicted Rice of \u201chigh treason\u201d for \u201cher participation in a 2017 scheme to defame\u201d former President Donald Trump in connection to alleged \u201cRussian collusion.\u201d Rice, who <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Susan_Rice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">served<\/a> as former President Barack Obama\u2019s national security adviser from 2013 to 2017, faced scrutiny for her role in \u201cunmasking\u201d some Trump transition officials in intelligence reports on communications with foreigners under surveillance, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2017\/04\/04\/the-susan-rice-controversy-the-latest-twist-in-the-trump-wiretapping-saga-explained.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the post, it also alleges <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navy.mil\/Leadership\/Biographies\/BioDisplay\/Article\/2236279\/vice-admiral-john-hannink\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Navy Vice Admiral John Hannink<\/a> was involved in her trial. At the end of the trial, a \u201cthree-officer panel unanimously agreed Rice be put to death for her crimes against America,\u201d the post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=117576263925817&amp;id=100070203318567\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">claims<\/a>. There is, however, no evidence Rice was convicted of treason or sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>A search of press releases put out by the <a href=\"https:\/\/search.justice.gov\/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;affiliate=justice&amp;sort_by=&amp;query=Susan+Rice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Justice<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/search.usa.gov\/search\/news?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;affiliate=defensegov&amp;channel=10132&amp;sort_by=r&amp;query=Susan+Rice&amp;commit=Search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Defense<\/a> didn\u2019t turn up any announcements to that effect. National media outlets haven\u2019t reported on Rice getting convicted of treason.
