During a press conference in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, the three countries announced they are working closely to monitor the growing threat North Korea posses.<\/p>\n<p>North Korea has reportedly shut down diplomatic communication with the U.S. after the Biden administration took over talks in January. According toU.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, the U.S. is working with Japan and South Korea in an effort to contain the North Korean threat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat close coordination sends a very critical message to North Korea in that we are together and shoulder-to-shoulder in our approach to this policy,\u201d she stated. \u201cThe United States has made it clear that we are ready to engage with North Korea; they know that.
