The law was set to go into effect July 28. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/06\/arkansas-trans-governor-legislature-bans-trans-surgeries-minors\/\">(RELATED: Arkansas Legislature Defies Governor, Becomes First State To Ban Trans Surgeries For Minors)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Republican Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson in March <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/09\/arkansas-governor-asa-hutchinson-abortion-ban-law-supreme-court-roe-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">signed into law<\/a> a bill banning all abortions except in cases when the abortion would save the life of the mother. (Win McNamee\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arkleg.state.ar.us\/Acts\/FTPDocument?path=%2FACTS%2F2021R%2FPublic%2F&amp;file=309.pdf&amp;ddBienniumSession=2021%2F2021R\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">had also written in the law\u2019s text<\/a> that \u201cit is time for the United States Supreme Court to redress and correct the grave injustice and the crime against humanity which is being perpetuated,\u201d positioning the bill as a challenge to Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSB6 is in contradiction of binding precedents of the U.S. Supreme Court, but it is the intent of the legislation to set the stage for the Supreme Court overturning current case law,\u201d Hutchinson <a href=\"https:\/\/governor.arkansas.gov\/news-media\/press-releases\/governor-hutchinson-issues-statement-on-signing-of-sb6\">said in a March statement when he signed the bill into law<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/06\/arkansas-asa-hutchinson-lgtbq\/\">(RELATED: Arkansas Gov.
