On Tuesday, veteran <a href=\"https:\/\/eliforarizona.com\/about\/\">Eli Crane<\/a> announced he would be challenging Democrat Tom Halleran in the 2022 midterms, saying it\u2019s his time to step up and serve his country as Arizona\u2019s congressman.<\/p>\n<p>Crane will be running in the state\u2019s 1st Congressional District, which was won by President Trump in 2016, giving the conservative Republican a potential leg up over Halleran. Meanwhile, he has already accused his opponent of being Nancy Pelosi\u2019s (D-Calif.) puppet.<\/p>\n<p>Crane joined the Navy just days after 9\/11 and went on to serve in the Middle East, training with the most famous U.S. sniper Chris Kyle. In his campaign video, Crane is shown getting the phrase \u201cwe the people\u201d tattooed on his arm as he criticizes career politicians for being self-serving.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem with Washington politicians is they have no skin in the game. It\u2019s all about them and almost never about us,\u201d said Crane.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I joined the Navy week after 9\/11 &amp; volunteered to be sent into the heart of the fight for America.
