Are they killing people, too, with rhetoric like you just heard?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the clips CNN played, both Fox hosts said they opposed <em>forcing <\/em>people to take a vaccination. Ingraham said, \u201cThere\u2019s nothing more anti-democratic, anti-freedom than pushing an experimental drug on Americans against their will.\u201d Carlson asked, \u201cIs there a precedent\u201d for the government to \u201cforce people to take medicine they don\u2019t want or need \u2026 in our lifetime?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Murthy appeared to agree with Bash\u2019s framing of the quotes as discouraging vaccine use and warned about the dangers of spreading \u201cmisinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, Dana,\u201d Murthy replied, \u201cI think all of us \u2014 including the media, including individuals, health professionals \u2014 have a responsibility to share the truth about health, as science dictates, as science informs us.&nbsp; And unless we do that \u2026 on critical issues like the vaccine, then we are going to ultimately put people at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy worry is that all this misinformation that\u2019s floating around is having a real cost that can be measured in lives lost. And that is just tragic,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>As Daily Wire\u2019s Emily Zanotti <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-surgeon-general-doubles-down-on-facebook-claims-social-media-aiding-and-abetting-misinformation-spread\">reported<\/a>, Murthy similarly \u201cdoubled down on the administration\u2019s claims that Facebook and other social media outlets are driving vaccine skepticism, claiming on Fox News Sunday that social media sites are \u2018aiding and abetting\u2019 the spread of misinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Murthy\u2019s media blitz came just one day before President Biden backed down on his statement that Facebook\u2019s tolerant posting policies were \u201ckilling people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked last week about social media platforms that do not censor their users\u2019 posts about the novel coronavirus, President Biden said, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/facebook-on-bidens-vaccine-claims-theyre-looking-for-scapegoats-for-missing-their-vaccine-goals\">They\u2019re killing people<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated, and they\u2019re killing people,\u201d he added. Similarly on Friday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-admin-were-flagging-problematic-posts-for-social-media-platforms-tracking-vaccine-misinformation\">said<\/a>, \u201cWe\u2019re flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet by the first of the week, the White House had changed its messaging. \u201cFacebook isn\u2019t killing people,\u201d President Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/biden-walks-back-facebook-killing-people-comment-covid-misinformation\">said<\/a> Monday. He went on to say, \u201cMy hope is that they would do something about misinformation\u2014 outrageous misinformation about vaccines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Fox News has repeatedly encouraged its viewers to get the COVID-19 vaccination. Tucker Carlson has long&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tv\/tucker-carlson-has-glenn-beck-on-to-assure-everyone-they-are-pro-vaccine\/\">called<\/a> his show \u201cadamantly pro-vaccine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Monday\u2019s \u201cFox and Friends,\u201d Steve Doocy turned back online rumors about the coronavirus injection. \u201cThe vaccine is killing lots and lots of people, or it changes your DNA, or there are little microchips. None of that is true,\u201d he said. \u201cIf you have the chance, get the shot. It will save your life.\u201d Later on Monday, anchors encouraged viewers to get more information about the vaccination from the FDA.<\/p>\n<p>At Monday\u2019s White House press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Psaki if the president is concerned about vaccine hesitancy inside red states, would Biden consider asking former President Donald Trump to record a public service announcement touting the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine, which was produced thanks to Trump\u2019s Operation Warp Speed.<\/p>\n<p>Psaki said the former president does not need an \u201cinvitation\u201d to make such a PSA.<\/p>\n<p>Medical experts agree that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\/delta-variant-gains-ground-among-unvaccinated\">nearly all hospitalizations<\/a> due to the Delta variant have taken place among the unvaccinated population.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
