According to reports on Monday, Biden asked Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell to do \u201cwhatever it takes\u201d to control inflation.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, Biden officials have been worried that skyrocketing consumer prices would further erode his waning popular support. U.S. inflation rose 5.4 percent year-on-year this month, which was way above the Federal Reserve\u2019s two percent target.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Food, gas, rent, utilities like electricity \u2013 prices for all of these everyday expenses are going up because of the inflation fueled by Biden\u2019s failed policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 GOP (@GOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOP\/status\/1416080324832993281?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 16, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, Biden and his officials have refused to admit that inflation poses a problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve seen some prices increases. Some folks have raised worries that this could be sign of persistent inflation. But that\u2019s not our view,\u201d Biden claimed. \u201cAs I made clear to Chairman Powell of the Federal Reserve when we met recently, the FED is independent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Central Bank experts say the FED could raise interest rates to contain inflation.
