On Friday, the CDC and Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed a Dallas resident had tested positive for the illness after traveling from Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Monkeypox is a rare, but potentially serious viral illness that typically begins with flu-like symptoms and progresses to a widespread rash on both the face and body.
