After speaking at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa on Friday, Pompeo told reporters the U.S. must take action to prevent growing terror threats from the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Pompeo added the Afghan people must have courage to fight the war on terror, noting it\u2019s a \u201cmatter of will.\u201d He reiterated, \u201cwe don\u2019t need to send Americans to fight if the Afghan people aren\u2019t willing to fight for their freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It was great to attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/theFAMiLYLEADER?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@theFAMiLYLEADER<\/a> lunch today! We gave them all the training they could handle. It\u2019s time for them to step forward and actually deliver on security for themselves,\u201d stressed Pompeo. \u201cI am confident that they can do that.
