Teams conducting the audit said at the hearing that they found several major discrepancies.<\/p>\n<p>Doug Logan, CEO of Cyber Ninjas, told senators at the Arizona state Capitol that auditors could find no record of the county sending more than 74,000 mail-in ballots. (Allan Stein\/Epoch Times)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers, a Republican, said in a statement after the hearing that the auditors were incompetent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt today\u2019s briefing, the Senate\u2019s uncertified contractors asked a lot of open-ended questions, portraying as suspicious what is actually normal and well known to people who work in elections. In some cases, they dropped bombshell numbers that are simply not accurate. What we heard today represents an alternate reality that has veered out of control since the November General Election. Senate leadership should be ashamed they broadcast the half-baked theories of the \u2018Deep Rig\u2019 crowd to the world today,\u201d he said. \u201cTo senate leaders I say, stop accusing us of not cooperating when we have given you everything qualified auditors would need to do this job. Finish your audit, release the report, and be prepared to defend it in court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A county spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email it was unclear which data sets the auditors were referring to for some of their allegations. The approximately 74,000 ballots probably refers to voters who went in person to vote centers before Election Day, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven though they are voting in person, their ballots are treated the same as those mailed in\u2014sealed in an envelope and signed by the voter,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3904493\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-3904493\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Karen-Fann-Maricopa-1200x800-1.jpg\" alt=\"Epoch Times Photo\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/noscript>Arizona State Sen. (Allan Stein\/Epoch Times)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The hearing came after Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, whose Republican caucus authorized the audit late last year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/arizona-senate-president-says-2020-election-audits-ballot-count-doesnt-match-maricopa-tally_3900886.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0the auditors\u2019 ballot count produced a different number from the county\u2019s count.<\/p>\n<p>The July 15 testimony, given in front of Fann and Sen. Warren Peterson, chairman of the state Senate\u2019s Judiciary Committee, triggered a push to conduct a new election in the state, where official records show President Joe Biden received around 10,500 more votes than Trump out of some 3.4 million ballots cast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI call for the Biden electors to be recalled to Arizona &amp; a new election must be conducted. Arizona\u2019s electors must not be awarded fraudulently &amp; we need to get this right,\u201d Arizona Sen. Wendy Rogers, a Republican\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/arizona-senator-state-lawmakers-prepared-to-act-on-findings-from-election-audit_3859019.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who has been keeping close tabs on the audit<\/a>, said on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WendyRogersAZ\/status\/1416233284661506053?s=20\">July 16 statement<\/a>, cited Rogers as saying that, \u201cI have heard enough.
