Five days!\u201d McEnany asked. \u201cFour press briefings passed with a refusal to denounce communism. It was actually in the fourth where communism was denounced. Peter Doocy pressed her in that third one on Wednesday, and there was a refusal to denounce communism. Why did it take this long?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy did it take a fever pitch of criticism from the right and probably some in their own party as well, internally, to get on what is a common sense message?\u201d McEnany continued, saying that while there were some vocal elements within the Democratic Party who might not agree, there were still many more moderate Democrats who opposed communism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden had a choice: \u2018Do I want to side with the Menendez wing of my party, a very small group, or do I want to side with AOC, BLM, and put my arms around the Cuban dictatorship?\u2019 He chose the former,\u201d McEnany said. \u201cNever forget it, because it took five days to get to this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox News White House correspondent <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/14\/psaki-refuses-to-say-cubans-fleeing-communism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peter Doocy<\/a> pushed press secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/15\/jen-psaki-communism-failed-ideology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jen Psaki<\/a> several times to denounce communism in the wake of Cuba\u2019s freedom protests \u2014 which she did Thursday \u2014 and Biden issued a similar statement later in the day.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany criticized President Joe Biden for taking five days to condemn communism.
