It appears to have originated from a Twitter account that often posts satirical content.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=1229351607493547&amp;set=gm.570046707494670&amp;type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">image<\/a> shows what looks like a BBC News article that puts up the headline \u201cRadiohead crowd left red-faced after applauding three minute guitar tuning, mistaking it for new song.\u201d Radiohead is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/Radiohead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">popular British rock band<\/a> known for songs such as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XFkzRNyygfk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Creep<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1uYWYWPc9HU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karma Police<\/a>.\u201d The supposed article places the alleged Radiohead fan incident at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Glastonbury Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A search of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/search?q=radiohead&amp;page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBC News website<\/a> didn\u2019t turn up any articles with titles matching the one in the Facebook post. Unlike stories published online by BBC News, the alleged Radiohead article doesn\u2019t have a byline, indicating it has been fabricated.<\/p>\n<p>A BBC spokesperson confirmed to Check Your Fact in an email that it is fake. In 2017, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/entertainment-arts-40389552\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">real BBC News article<\/a> described Radiohead\u2019s performance at the Glastonbury Festival that year as \u201cabsorbing, challenging and achingly beautiful.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2019\/04\/26\/fact-check-kurt-cobain-trumps-president-1993\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Kurt Cobain Predict Trump\u2019s Presidency?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fabricated Radiohead article first went viral back in 2017, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/fake-news-story-radiohead-fans-mistaking-guitar-tuning-new-song-goes-viral-2093973\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NME<\/a>.
