Lucy McBath (D-Ga.). During an interview on Tuesday, Evans announced his run as an effort to fight back against the radical left who have wanted to \u201cerase our culture, our values and our American identity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Invoking President Trump and former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Evans vowed to be a strong conservative \u201ctrailblazer\u201d in his campaign ad.<\/p>\n<p>Evans went on to say, \u201cthat\u2019s why just like President Trump and former Congressman Newt Gingrich, I\u2019ll blaze a trail with bold conservative values and big ideas that gets us back on the right track.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today, I announce my candidacy for Congress in Georgia\u2019s 6th District. He asserted Americans needed lawmakers who would fight for constitutional rights rather than \u201cpolitical opportunism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Evans is joining a handful of other Republicans running in the Peach State\u2019s 6th district, including former state Rep.
