Their preference for Americans rose from just from 58 percent before the election up to 61 percent after the election. Their support for extra foreign workers slumped from a pre-election share of 30 percent down to 24 percent after the election.<\/p>\n<p>The November poll showed few significant shifts among\u00a0Republicans, \u201cother\u201d voters, or moderates.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic shift towards pro-American migration policies is bad political news for Democratic leaders who expect Democratic legislators to import more cheap labor for special interests, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/11\/17\/democrats-want-5-5-billion-bailout-new-york-citys-illegal-population\">New York City<\/a>, and for establishment donors, such as the investors at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fwd.us\/board-founders\/\">FWD.us<\/a>, the Business Roundtable, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/11\/17\/business-groups-push-joe-biden-to-drop-trumps-h-1b-reforms\">U.S. Chamber of Commerce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Just 19 percent of all voters support the establishment\u2019s preference for importing foreign workers. Sixty-six percent prefer the populist demand for \u201cbusinesses to raise the pay and try harder to recruit non-working Americans,\u201d according to the Rasmussen data.<\/p>\n<p>That is 3.5-to-1 opposition \u2014 and the GOP is hoping to win a House majority in just 24 months.<\/p>\n<p>Many other polls show\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NeilMunroDC\/status\/1282327742797799426?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1282327742797799426%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Feconomy%2F2020%2F08%2F06%2Fipsos-poll-public-opposes-migrant-workers-by-21%2F\">deep and broad<\/a> opposition to cheap labor migration \u2014 and to the inflow of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/08\/06\/ipsos-poll-public-opposes-migrant-workers-by-21\">temporary contract workers<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 such as H-1B and OPT workers \u2014 for the technology and management jobs sought by American graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The Rasmussen \u201cImmigration Index\u201d is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/immigration_index\/immigration_index_trends\">a fever chart<\/a> of the public\u2019s fluctuating priorities on immigration limits. For example, when President Donald Trump enforced the law, the chart ran high with increased Democratic opposition. But with Biden heading towards the White House \u2014 while threatening to loosen border controls \u2014 Democrats are not voicing more support for the border curbs that protect their jobs and wages from ruthless CEOs and desperate migrants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith likely new President Joe Biden vowing to undo many of the immigration restrictions imposed by President Trump, the Rasmussen Reports Immigration Index \u2026 fell to 96.6 from 102.6 the week before, said a report by Rasmussen Reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Rasmussen index is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/immigration_index\/immigration_index_trends\">a fever chart<\/a> of the public\u2019s contradictory feelings towards immigration limits. For example, when President Donald Trump enforced the law, the chart ran high with increased Democratic opposition.<\/p>\n<p>Rasmussen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/immigration_index\/immigration_index_nov24\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When businesses say they are having trouble finding Americans to take jobs in construction, manufacturing, hospitality and other service work, 66% of voters [up from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/immigration_index\/crosstabs_rasmussen_reports_immigration_index_may_17_21_2020\">64 percent<\/a> in May, 2020] say it is better for the country if these businesses raise the pay and try harder to recruit non-working Americans even if it causes prices to rise. Just 19% disagree [vs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/immigration_index\/crosstabs_rasmussen_reports_immigration_index_may_17_21_2020\">23 percent<\/a> in May] and say it\u2019s better for the country if the government brings in new foreign workers to help keep business costs and prices down. This is a new high and ties the low for this question. Sixteen percent (16%) are undecided.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In 2019, Trump\u2019s lower migration policies helped to spike Americans\u2019 median household income by 7 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, Biden and his team want to flood Americans\u2019 labor market with foreign workers and flood Americans\u2019 housing market with foreign renters.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, open-ended migration is praised by business and progressives partly because migrants help\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/08\/19\/la-times-migrant-dont-lower-wages\">transfer<\/a>\u00a0massive wealth\u00a0from American wage-earners to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/10\/10\/white-house-touts-h-1b-visa-worker-reforms\">stockholders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Migration moves money from employees to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/10\/11\/h-1b-supporters-denounce-wage-boosting-regulations\">employers<\/a>, from families to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/05\/22\/fed-data-visa-worker-program-sneaks-wealth-jobs-blue-states-tech-industry\">investors<\/a>, from young to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/06\/26\/ex-google-chief-uses-top-tier-immigration-claim-to-sideline-u-s-college-graduates\">old<\/a>, from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/06\/06\/authors-antifa-rioters-are-the-tech-economys-college-discards\">children<\/a>\u00a0to their\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\"
