The incident was caught on camera and showed a group of people attacking Arzuaga and his girlfriend Yasmin Perez in their vehicle.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I salute the efforts of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Area4Detectives?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Area4Detectives<\/a> and  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USMarshalsHQ?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@USMarshalsHQ<\/a> in arresting a violent offender in California, responsible for the murder of a young father on June 19, 2021 in Humboldt Park. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ChicagoPolice?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ChicagoPolice<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3MoXgSnnNz\">pic.twitter.com\/3MoXgSnnNz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chicago Police Superintendent David O. Brown (@ChiefDavidBrown) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChiefDavidBrown\/status\/1413941549138948096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 10, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Police alleged Lorenzi shot Arzuaga multiple times. Investigators later found that Perez may have been accidentally shot by her boyfriend after police found a handgun under his body.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago Police Supt. David Brown went on to say, \u201cI hope this arrest brings at least some measure of relief to the families of this young couple who left behind two small children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lorenzi has an extensive criminal background, which includes 26 felony arrests and seven convictions.
