Chip Roy (R-TX) made this week regarding the Biden administration\u2019s recent move to go door-to-door pushing the COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just sick and God-darn tired of the Left, and this government, dictating to me, frankly, anything at all,\u201d Roy told RealClearPolitics White House reporter Philip Wegmann in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2021\/07\/09\/texas_rep_captures_nations_divide_over_vaccines_146060.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interview<\/a>. \u201cBack the F off. That\u2019s my message to the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Wegmann reached out to a White House official to ask if they had a response to Roy, the official texted, \u201clol no.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"12.218181818182\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Back the F-off. That&#8217;s my message to the White House,&#8221; Chip Roy said of Biden&#8217;s latest vaccine push.<\/p>\n<p>Asked for a response to the congressman, a White House official texted back: \u201clol no.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CRFzHbfPmY\">https:\/\/t.co\/CRFzHbfPmY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Philip Melanchthon Wegmann (@PhilipWegmann) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PhilipWegmann\/status\/1413542738809786372?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Roy, whose father had polio, maintained he is not an \u201canti-vaxxer,\u201d but also stressed the dangers of a federal government that would involve itself in citizens\u2019 private health decisions by going door-to-door urging vaccinations. As RealClearPolitics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2021\/07\/09\/texas_rep_captures_nations_divide_over_vaccines_146060.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"15\">\n<p><em>Roy predicted that \u201cthe left is going to lose their ever-loving collective mind\u201d over his criticizing the White House. \u201cThey are going to call me an anti-vaxxer.\u201d He says they are wrong, that it is intellectually consistent to support a vaccine but also oppose a federal campaign to convince the public to take it because, \u201cWhat I really am is a believer in freedom.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWho are you targeting and how do you know? Are you going to go \u2018door-to-door\u2019 to all 330 million Americans, or are you going to go through some lists you have about who is-or-is-not vaccinated?\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As RealClearPolitics noted, some public health experts want the Biden administration to be more aggressive in pushing vaccines. \u201cI\u2019m trying to restrain myself, but I\u2019ve kind of had it,\u201d former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/07\/06\/us\/politics\/biden-vaccines.html\">told The New York Times<\/a>. \u201cYou know, we\u2019re going to tiptoe around mandates. It\u2019s like, come on. I\u2019m kind of over that. I want to make sure that people I deal with don\u2019t have it so I don\u2019t transmit it to my granddaughter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both President Joe Biden and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki have supported pushing vaccines door-to-door, prompting widespread&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/internet-erupts-after-biden-psaki-push-door-to-door-plan-targeting-unvaccinated-people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">backlash<\/a>.
