There are no reports about a tornado passing by Citizens Bank Park on July 2.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The 16-second TikTok video appears to show a large tornado rumbling just outside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/phillies\/ballpark\">Citizens Bank Park<\/a>, the home stadium of the Philadelphia Phillies, as hundreds of fans can be seen in the stands watching a game. The caption of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/niamh.crowley.583\/videos\/2580762065552410\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one July 3 Facebook post<\/a> sharing it reads, \u201cTornado at the Phillies game last night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video, however, is not authentic. While the Phillies did play a game against the San Diego Padres on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/gameday\/padres-vs-phillies\/2021\/07\/02\/633448#game_state=final,game_tab=,game=633448\">July 2<\/a>, it was not nearly interrupted by a tornado. Check Your Fact didn\u2019t find any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/?s=tornado\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">local<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/philadelphia.cbslocal.com\/search\/?q=tornado+philadelphia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">news<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/search\/?query=tornado%20philadelphia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports<\/a> about a tornado touching down in Philadelphia on July 2. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Na9TydvCePY\">Highlights<\/a> from the game also show no signs of extreme weather.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/weather\/stories-weather\/milford-delaware-tornado\/2867643\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Two tornadoes<\/a> did touch down in nearby Delaware on July 1, the day before the game, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NWS_MountHolly\/status\/1411162113318350849\">National Weather Service<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/07\/30\/fact-check-multiple-tornadoes-simultaneously-kansas\/\"><strong>(RELATED: Viral Image Claims To Show Multiple Tornadoes Simultaneously Ripping Through Kansas)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The video seems to originate from TikTok user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@gmoney1289?lang=en&amp;is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1\">@gmoney1289<\/a>, whose username is visible throughout the clip.
