A subsequent analysis from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/inside-uc-san-franciscos-massive-abortion-training-network\"><span>The Daily Wire<\/span><\/a><span> showed that UCSF\u2019s Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health supports several programs that have collectively trained thousands of medical students across the United States to perform abortions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifesf.com\/\"><span>Pro-Life San Francisco<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 which has investigated many of UCSF\u2019s ties to the abortion industry through public records requests \u2014 discovered that a May 2021 study at the university experimented upon second-trimester babies obtained from \u201cterminated pregnancies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The study \u2014 \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8110246\/\"><span>Viable bacterial colonization is highly limited in the human intestine in utero<\/span><\/a><span>\u201d \u2014 examined the extent to which various types of bacteria would grow in the aborted babies\u2019 spleens, lymph nodes, and small intestines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One section of the report \u2014 \u201cHuman Samples and Consent\u201d \u2014 stated that the \u201cdonated\u201d human tissue was acquired under the auspices of the UCSF Committee on Human Research\u2019s protocols after written informed consent from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The babies \u2014 which were \u201ctransported in media on ice and processed within 2 hours after collection\u201d \u2014 ranged between 18 and 22 weeks gestation at the time of their deaths.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In the second trimester of pregnancy, babies are capable of sucking their thumbs, yawning, stretching, and making faces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Among the several sources listed in the acknowledgment section of the study were:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>A $783,000 National Science Foundation grant made to San Francisco State University (Grant No. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/keyword_search\/0821619\"><span>0821619<\/span><\/a><span>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>A $447,339 National Science Foundation grant made to San Francisco State University (Grant No. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/keyword_search\/0949176\"><span>0949176<\/span><\/a><span>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>A $13,460,667 National Science Foundation grant made to the Trustees of the University of California (Grant No. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/keyword_search\/1650113\"><span>1650113<\/span><\/a><span>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>A National Institutes of Health grant from which the University of California has drawn $10,997,638 since 2019 (Grant No. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/keyword_search\/P30%20DK063720\"><span>P30 DK063720<\/span><\/a><span>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>A National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases grant from which the University of California has drawn $113,727 since 2017 (Grant No. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/keyword_search\/F31AI136336\"><span>F31 AI136336<\/span><\/a><span>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>A National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases grant from which the University of California has drawn $1,053,000 since 2019 (Grant No. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/keyword_search\/K08%20AI128007\"><span>K08 AI128007<\/span><\/a><span>)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The last aforementioned <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/reporter.nih.gov\/project-details\/5K08AI128007-03\"><span>grant<\/span><\/a><span> from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases supports UCSF Department of Pediatrics assistant professor <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/microbiome.ucsf.edu\/people\/joanna-halkias-md\"><span>Joanna Halkias<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 who also works in the Division of Neonatology at the UCSF Benioff Children\u2019s Hospital in Oakland \u2014 in a five-year training program \u201cfor the development of an academic career with a research focus in the development of human fetal immunity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, who also serves as Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
