The group also discovered that the university and its \u201cWomen\u2019s Options Centers\u201d have no protocol for aiding babies who are born alive following botched abortions, indicating that survivors are in all probability left to die with no attempts at medical assistance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Under the financial auspices of <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.communityplatform.us\/communityplatform\/nccs\/organization\/profile\/id\/476032365#tabs_6\"><span>Warren Buffett<\/span><\/a><span> and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/reporter.nih.gov\/project-details\/5K08AI128007-03\"><span>National Institutes of Health<\/span><\/a><span>, UCSF\u2019s involvement in the abortion industry extends far beyond the dissection of forty-two deceased children<\/span><span>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Indeed, through manifold programs and initiatives offered by the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bixbycenter.ucsf.edu\/\"><span>Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health<\/span><\/a><span>, UCSF is the \u201clate-term abortion training capital\u201d of the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ryan Residency<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Through the Bixby Center\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ryanprogram.org\/home\/overview\/\"><span>Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program in Abortion &amp; Family Planning<\/span><\/a><span>, obstetrics and gynecology departments across the United States are equipped to \u201cestablish a formal, opt-out rotation in family planning, either by establishing or expanding an outpatient family planning service within the medical center or by linking institutions with community partners such as Planned Parenthood.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Over the past two decades, the Ryan Residency has granted at least 3,800 residents \u201cexposure to and skills in first- and second-trimester abortion care\u201d through its eighty-nine programs across the United States. According to a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.contraceptionjournal.org\/article\/S0010-7824(20)30462-5\/fulltext\"><span>survey<\/span><\/a><span> of the participants, roughly 1,700 residents now intend to \u201cprovide abortion care in their post-residency practice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Ryan Residency\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ryanprogram.org\/ryan-program-didactic-curriculum-in-family-planning\/\"><span>Didactic Curriculum in Family Planning<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 which serves as a \u201ccurricular resource for family planning training\u201d complete with articles, videos, and quizzes \u2014 offers modules such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>An Introduction to Reproductive Justice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Overview of Abortion Care<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>First-Trimester Uterine Aspiration Abortion and Second-Trimester Dilation and Evacuation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Medication Abortion and Labor Induction Termination<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mottchildren.org\/health-library\/tw1078\"><span>Uterine aspiration<\/span><\/a><span>\u201d abortions use suction to pull a preborn baby out of his or her mother\u2019s womb. \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mottchildren.org\/health-library\/tw2462\"><span>Dilation and evacuation<\/span><\/a><span>\u201d abortions \u2014 sometimes called partial-birth abortions \u2014 involve dilating the cervix, using forceps to pull pieces of the preborn baby from the uterus, and employing suction to empty the uterus of fluids and stray tissue. \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/mdhhs\/0,5885,7-339-73971_4909_6437_19077-46297--,00.html\"><span>Labor induction<\/span><\/a><span>\u201d abortions entail stopping a preborn baby\u2019s heartbeat with an injection, then artificially triggering contractions so that the mother delivers the deceased child.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Ryan Residency\u2019s recruitment <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ryanprogram.org\/cms\/assets\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Medical_Students_Brochure_FINAL.pdf\"><span>brochure<\/span><\/a><span> for medical students laments that obstetrics and gynecology programs \u201cdo not offer routine abortion training\u201d and \u201cspend little time discussing abortion.\u201d Beyond residencies, students are encouraged to attend an annual Conference on Family Planning \u201cfor a weekend of abortion and family planning education\u201d and an Abortion Training Institute to \u201clearn all about abortion procedures\u201d and \u201cabortion-focused legislation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Fellowship in Family Planning<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>In addition to the Ryan Residency, the Bixby Center offers the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.bixbycenter.ucsf.edu\/training\/fellowships\/fellowship_in_family_planning.html\"><span>Fellowship in Family Planning<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 a two-year intensive complete with health insurance, loan repayment assistance, and a stipend \u2014 which markets itself as \u201cthe only fellowship in the nation that provides the opportunity to develop high-level research and clinical skills in contraception and abortion.\u201d<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The program\u2019s site explains that participants \u201creceive training in clinical and epidemiologic research, develop clinical and teaching skills, have opportunities to work internationally, and connect to a rapidly expanding network of family planning experts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The participants\u2019 clinical training includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>All methods of pregnancy termination<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>All diagnostic methods to confirm uterine and tubal pregnancy<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Anesthesia and pain control<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Ultrasonography related to contraception and abortion<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Treatment of complications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>All methods of contraception currently available and under investigation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Sterilization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Gynecologic surgery<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Practices, policies, and research relating to international contraception and abortion<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The Fellowship in Family Planning is offered at thirty-one universities across the United States \u2014 including four of the eight Ivy League schools and nine of the nation\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-medical-schools\/research-rankings\"><span>top ten<\/span><\/a><span> medical universities:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Columbia Director <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bixbycenter.ucsf.edu\/jody-steinauer-md-phd\"><span>Jody Steinauer<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 who also serves as Vice Chair of UCSF\u2019s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology &amp; Reproductive Sciences \u2014 has launched a number of international abortion organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In 2012, Steinauer founded the Bixby Center\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/innovatingeducation.org\/\"><span>Innovating Education in Reproductive Health<\/span><\/a><span>. According to Steinauer\u2019s faculty profile, the group \u201ccreates free curricula and learning tools about sexual and reproductive health \u2014 including abortion \u2014 for clinicians and learners in the health professions.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Over 10,000 viewers from more than 150 countries \u201chave watched IERH\u2019s pioneering video-based online abortion course, which is available in English, Spanish, and French.\u201d IERH\u2019s website also features videos about \u201ctrans inclusive care\u201d and \u201cobstetric racism.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As a medical student, Steinauer founded <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/msfc.org\/about-us\/\"><span>Medical Students for Choice<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 an organization that is currently training over 13,000 young people to become \u201ctomorrow\u2019s abortion providers and pro-choice physicians.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Daniel Grossman<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/obgyn.ucsf.edu\/san-francisco-general-hospital\/daniel-grossman-md\"><span>Daniel Grossman<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 who directs the Bixby Center\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ansirh.org\/about\"><span>Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 is a practicing abortionist at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/zuckerbergsanfranciscogeneral.org\/\"><span>Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Guided by \u201can understanding of the role that structural inequities play in shaping health,\u201d ANSIRH conducts \u201cinnovative, rigorous, multidisciplinary research on complex issues related to people\u2019s sexual and reproductive lives.\u201d The group leverages its research to \u201cdrive legal and legislative change at the local, state and national levels.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Grossman <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrDGrossman\/status\/1177407636263845888\"><span>served<\/span><\/a><span> for six years on the board of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prochoiceamerica.org\/about\/\"><span>NARAL Pro-Choice America<\/span><\/a><span> \u2014 the nation\u2019s largest abortion lobby.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Grossman\u2019s profile explains that he has worked to improve \u201cfamily planning access\u201d in the United States, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
