Even former President George W. Bush <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC1118671\/\">warned<\/a> as a presidential candidate that \u201cmaking this abortion pill widespread would make abortions more and more common.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/13\/biden-fda-abortion-drugs-by-mail\/\">(RELATED: Biden Administration Lifts Restrictions On Abortion Pills Despite Risks, Allows Them To Be Delivered By Mail)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\" story-text__paragraph\">\u201cIf the abortion lobby\u2019s ultimate dream succeeds, however, brick-and-mortar facilities will become obsolete,\u201d Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/columnists\/marjoriedannenfelser\/2020\/04\/14\/chemical-self-abortions-the-other-looming-deadly-crisis-n2566658\">wrote<\/a> in a 2020 Townhall column condemning funding of abortion through coronavirus stimulus, predicting that&nbsp;internet distribution of abortion pills is the \u201cnext frontier\u201d for the abortion industry.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden\u2019s administration announced in April that it was lifting the Food and Drug Administration\u2019s (FDA) former restrictions on abortion drugs, allowing the pills to be delivered by mail during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court had <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/12\/supreme-court-sides-with-trump-admin-says-abortion-pills-cant-be-dispensed-by-mail\/\">backed<\/a> former President Donald Trump\u2019s policy in January that the pills could not be dispensed by mail during the COVID-19 pandemic. But acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock said in April that sending the drugs by mail will not increase risks for women and will protect those who want the drugs from COVID-19, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/04\/12\/abortion-pills-481092\">according to Politico<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>The FDA had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/media\/72923\/download\">approved<\/a>&nbsp;the use of the abortion drug mifepristone, also called Mifeprex,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/drugsatfda_docs\/label\/2016\/020687s020lbl.pdf\">in 2000<\/a>&nbsp;for up to 10 weeks\u2019 gestation.
