Anna Morgan-Lloyd pleaded guilty to one charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $500.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>More than a dozen people have now pleaded guilty in connection with the riot. Some defendants languished in jail for months after they were arrested but before their trials began. Some <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amgreatness.com\/2021\/06\/10\/letters-from-a-d-c-jail\/\"><span>were kept<\/span><\/a><span> in solitary confinement for nonviolent crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Meanwhile, high-level prosecutors from across the country are trying cases against alleged participants in the Capitol riot, a Daily Wire review of court records&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/terrorism-homicide-prosecutors-brought-in-to-try-capitol-riot-defendants-for-crimes-like-trespassing\"><span>showed<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C. has ramped up its resources and called in prosecutors from unrelated areas of its office, including the Violent Crime Narcotics Trafficking Section, Homicide Section, Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section, Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Section, and Major Crimes Section. In some cases the prosecutors from those departments are prosecuting misdemeanors only.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The U.S. attorney\u2019s office has also called in prosecutors from special sections of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and dozens of federal prosecutors from offices across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One Justice Department attorney who is helping prosecute Capitol riot defendants, previously <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/jury-finds-brooklyn-man-guilty-conspiracy-and-attempting-provide-material-support-isis\"><span>assisted<\/span><\/a><span> in the case against a Brooklyn resident who was found guilty of working to support ISIS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The defendants <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/storytelling\/capitol-riot-mob-arrests\/\"><span>range<\/span><\/a><span> in age from 18 to 70, the vast majority of them men. <\/span><span>Many of the cases follow a cookie-cutter pattern involving some combination of trespassing and disorderly conduct charges as well as \u201cParading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Last month, former U.S. Attorney for Utah Brett Tolman told The Daily Wire, \u201cThis is beyond aggressive, and it\u2019s also one-size-fits-all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThere seems to be no careful analysis of the individual criminal intent or lack thereof, and that\u2019s what a prosecutor\u2019s first line of scrutiny and judgment is supposed to be considering,\u201d Tolman said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
