Johnson);<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Two weeks after the shot for vaccines administered to people who have already had COVID-19 (only one dose is necessary).<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><i>OR that you have been tested (PCR or antigen) with a negative result within the last 48hrs;<\/i><span class=\"s2\"><i><br \/><\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><i>OR that you have recovered from COVID-19, attested by a positive PCR or antigen test result, at least 15 days and no more than 6 months old.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p5\">The site also specifies that people are not required to present the health pass for \u201cacts of daily life,\u201d including shopping, commuting, and going to movie theaters.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">According to Variety, \u201cFrench laws require that those who gather indoors either must be vaccinated or show proof of a PCR test.\u201d Due to the fact that the French government\u2019s health app won\u2019t be able to make a transferable bar code for people coming to Cannes from countries that are outside of the European Union\u2019s COVID-19 tracking methods, some people who come to the festival will be treated as if they are not vaccinated.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">\u201cThe mandate has already led to confusion \u2014 and complaints \u2014 from festival-goers on the ground,\u201d the outlet reported. \u201cAccording to the latest rules, non-European attendees at Cannes will need to be tested for COVID every 48 hours\u201d to get into the Palais, a building where producers create areas to market their movies. Since France doesn\u2019t mandate proof of vaccination inside movie theaters, people who are only coming to watch the films won\u2019t need to go through the testing hurdles.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">While some people were fine with the testing requirements, others expressed disgust about the measures of the testing. Some attendees are required to provide more saliva if they didn\u2019t get enough or were disqualified for various reasons including if food was mixed in the spit.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">\u201cIt has to be liquid,\u201d a laboratory worker reportedly instructed. \u201cFoam doesn\u2019t count.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">\u201cI found the test to be really gross,\u201d said one person who went through the process, per Variety.<\/p>\n<p>The festival\u2019s requirements come at a time when organizers of large events are seeking ways to go back to normal life while avoiding outbreaks, but with the high availability of the COVID-19 vaccines in many countries around the world, many are beginning to wonder if such testing is necessary at all.<\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
