The document was dated last month and marked as coming from Herndon, the location of Volkswagen\u2019s North American headquarters in Virginia\u2019s Fairfax County.<\/p>\n<p>The insider said the material represents some of the training \u201cbeing shoved down our throats at VW\u201d and that the \u201cmisinformation\u201d on gender issues is being disseminated to the entire employee body.<\/p>\n<p>The training document could have used at least one more edit, as the first reference to \u201cLGBTQ+\u201d people reads \u201cLQBTQ+\u201d instead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLQBTQ+ [sic] people exist across cultures and throughout human history,\u201d the document says alongside a&nbsp;timeline of landmark moments for LGBT acceptance in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite recent progress, they continue to face discrimination and violence,\u201d the document adds.<\/p>\n<p>The training document says there are still \u201cno LGBTQ+ legal protections\u201d for housing, education, child welfare services, conversion therapy, public accommodations, hate crimes, and transgender healthcare in many states.<\/p>\n<p>The material encourages employees to \u201ctake action\u201d on the Equality Act, and a link redirects to a Human Rights Campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/campaigns\/equality-act\">page<\/a> informing people how they can work to get the legislation passed.<\/p>\n<p>One \u201callyship tip\u201d the training offers is: \u201cdon\u2019t assume you know a person\u2019s gender, use gender-neutral language.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An ally is defined as \u201ca person who supports and respects members of the LGBT+ community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpression, identity, sex, and orientation exist on a spectrum and are independent of one another. There are many more terms and identities within the LGBTQ+ community,\u201d the document says.<\/p>\n<p>In the definition of cisgender, the training says that \u201cif a person is not transgender, they are cisgender.\u201d Some LGBT rights advocates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/cisgender-vs-straight#other-genders\">dispute<\/a> that definition, however, saying the reality is more complicated.<\/p>\n<p>The document criticizes \u201cheteronormativity\u201d as a pernicious \u201cassumption\u201d that \u201ceveryone is heterosexual and that heterosexuality is superior to all other sexualities,\u201d which \u201cleads to invisibility and stigmatizing of other sexualities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The training encourages employees not to say \u201cladies and gentlemen,\u201d \u201cboth genders,\u201d \u201copposite sexes,\u201d gendered terms such as \u201cmailman\u201d or \u201cfireman,\u201d or \u201cnormal people\u201d when referring to \u201ccisgender\u201d people.<\/p>\n<p>The materials also encourages employees to add pronouns to their email signature along with a link to an article about why sharing your pronouns is \u201cimportant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an ally, sharing your pronouns costs you nothing,\u201d the training says, \u201cHowever, it signals that you are an ally and that it is safe for LGBTQ+ individuals to be authentic with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The document says the training material was put together by DRIVE (Diversity, Respect, Inclusion, Values, Equality), Volkswagen\u2019s North American \u201cemployee resource group for LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies,\u201d which said it works to make Volkswagen \u201ca more affirming and inclusive place to be through education, connection, community outreach &amp; partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Major companies, as well as local governments, have ramped up their diversity training to include content about gender and sexuality as well as how to unlearn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/whistleblower-amazon-regularly-forces-employees-to-confess-unconscious-racial-bias\">unconscious racial bias<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Employees in New York City were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/nyc-employees-forced-to-complete-ultra-woke-gender-identity-training\">forced<\/a> to complete a mandatory online training session developed by the city that teaches that society defines people by their reproductive organs and asks whether all \u201ccisgender\u201d men need a \u201cplaid shirt\u201d and \u201cbulging muscles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
