Phil Scott (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Utah \u2014 Gov. Spencer Cox (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Nebraska \u2014 Gov. Pete Ricketts (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> South Dakota \u2014 Gov. Kristi Noem (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Idaho \u2014 Gov. Brad Little (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> New Hampshire \u2014 Gov. Chris Sununu (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Alabama \u2014 Gov. Kay Ivey (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Kansas \u2014 Gov. Laura Kelly (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Montana \u2014 Gov. Greg Gianforte (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Oklahoma \u2014 Gov. Kevin Stitt (R)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>All of the bottom ten states are led by Democrats:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"42\">\n<li><span> Illinois \u2014 Gov. J.B. Gavin Newsom (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Connecticut \u2014 Gov. Ned Lamont (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Nevada \u2014 Gov. Steve Sisolak (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> New York \u2014 Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> New Mexico \u2014 Gov. Michelle Grisham (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> Hawaii \u2014 Gov. David Ige (D)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>As the United States recovers from COVID-19 and the lockdown-induced recession, unusually high unemployment is challenging employers across the United States \u2014 a trend driven by enhanced federal unemployment insurance. States that continue to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/report-spike-in-new-jobless-claims-driven-entirely-by-blue-states\"><span>participate<\/span><\/a><span> in the handouts are observing particularly slow job growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One recent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/report-families-can-get-six-figures-worth-of-government-handouts-in-19-blue-states\"><span>report<\/span><\/a><span> found that many states are offering benefit packages \u201cequivalent to $100,000 a year in salary for a family of four with two unemployed parents.\u201d Even without considering \u201cfood stamps, school breakfast and lunch programs, rental assistance, and the fact that some unemployment benefits are not subject to federal income tax,\u201d analysts stated that \u201cthe maximum benefit package when including the $300 a week supplemental UI benefit\u201d vastly outweighs Americans\u2019 median household income of $68,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell\u2019s recent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/unstable-employment-high-inflation-jim-jordan-blasts-fed-chair-powell-in-hearing-on-covid-receovery\"><span>testimony<\/span><\/a><span> before the House Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, Rep.
