Biden first claimed, \u201cTogether, we\u2019re breathing life into our economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then, notwithstanding the partisan rhetoric that has marked his administration, he continued, \u201cTogether, we will rescue our people from division and despair.&nbsp; But together we must do it. Over the past year, we\u2019ve lived through some of our darkest days.&nbsp; Now I truly believe \u2014 I give you my word as a Biden \u2014 I truly believe we\u2019re about to see our brightest future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s \u201cword as a Biden\u201d that he guarantees a brighter future for America comes at a time when polls show confidence in him plunging. A new ABC News\/Washington Post poll <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/biden-sinking-among-americans-on-handling-soaring-crime-poll\/\">released Friday<\/a>, noting Americans\u2019 feelings about how Biden is handling crime, had as its heading: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.langerresearch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1221a1CrimeandRacialJustice.pdf\">Biden is Rated Poorly on Handling Crime<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poll found that as opposed to 38% of Americans approving of Biden\u2019s actions in response to soaring crime rates, a whopping 48% disapproved. The poll stated, \u201cThe number of Americans seeing crime as an extremely serious problem in the United States is at a more than 20-year high, Joe Biden is underwater in trust to handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poll, conducted between June 27-30, stated of Americans, \u201c55 percent think increasing funding for police departments would reduce violent crime, 51 percent say the same about stricter enforcement of existing gun laws and 46 percent say so about stricter gun control laws.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith an eye toward the 2022 midterm elections, Biden\u2019s party shows potential vulnerability on crime in two hotspots: the Midwest, where the Republican Party leads the Democrats in trust to handle crime, 43-28 percent; and in the suburbs, a 43-31 percent GOP advantage,\u201d the poll noted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/07\/05\/most-americans-disapprove-of-joe-bidens-border-control-poll\/\">The New York Post<\/a> noted another area where Americans have lost confidence in Biden, writing on Monday about immigration:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9.6969696969697\">\n<p><em>A new Washington Post\/ABC News poll finds that a majority of Americans disapprove of the job President Joe Biden is doing on immigration \u2014 as illegal border crossings smash records month over month creating an unprecedented crisis.&nbsp; The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/context-cdn.washingtonpost.com\/notes\/prod\/default\/documents\/014a7c64-062f-494b-ba30-0b894625ffae\/note\/2cf0babc-25d2-4781-bb5f-2c7753d4ed3e.#page=1\">June 30th survey<\/a>&nbsp;shows 51% of respondents are not satisfied with the president\u2019s handling of the border crisis while 33% give him a thumbs up.&nbsp;\u2026 The poll found that Biden\u2019s overall approval stood at 50%, 2 points down from an April survey, while disapproval held steady at 42%.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to his sinking popularity vis-\u00e0-vis crime and the Southern border, Biden is plunging in a third area: the economy. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/support-biden-erodes-among-democrats-us-looks-past-pandemic-2021-06-30\/\">Reuters<\/a> reported that just among Democrats, his base, Biden\u2019s approval numbers regarding the economy had spiraled downward 12 points between April and June, adding, \u201cJust 35% of the country thinks the U.S. economy is headed in the right direction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumer prices rose in May at the fastest rate since 2008, a bigger jump than economists had expected and one that is sure to keep inflation at the center of political and economic debate in Washington,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/06\/10\/business\/consumer-price-index-may-2021.html\">The New York Times<\/a> admitted on June 10.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
