In a video released on Sunday, the Republican said Americans are free to pursue dreams, practice faith and live freely without an oppressive government.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmaker also urged Americans to never take freedom for granted. He called on listeners to treasure and defend American freedom every single day.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Happy birthday America! \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8<\/p>\n<p>After the year we&#8217;ve all had, this Independence Day should hold special meaning.  Despite the ill-fated efforts of the elites\u2014we are FREE. We can never take our freedom for granted.
