She also reportedly created a GoFundMe page titled, \u201cFired over a TikTok?!?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morris stated in the text of videos, \u201cI\u2019d unplug your vent to charge my cell phone.\u201d \u201cMe on my way to give my patients drugs so WE can get some good sleep tonight.\u201d \u201cMe making sure all my patients sleep all night cause they kept me up last night.\u201d In one video, she says via a voice-over, \u201cThat\u2019s what I always do and they never catch me. Ain\u2019t nobody gonna catch me.\u201d \u201cWould you slap a patient for a million dollars?\u201d she asked rhetorically in a caption, then put on sunglasses and answered, \u201cIt ain\u2019t about the money.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"5.3097345132743\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Justice exists. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eLpoTobLll\">pic.twitter.com\/eLpoTobLll<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ian Miles Cheong @ stillgray.substack.com (@stillgray) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stillgray\/status\/1411131753624870919?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Morris issued a short statement saying, \u201cThe only thing hurt in my TikTok videos were people\u2019s feelings. All my videos are comedy skits. I can understand how someone can be upset but not to the degree they are taking it. No one was ever harmed and I treat all my patients with great care and they all love me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The nursing facility\u2019s parent company, Accordius Health, issued this statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wxii12.com\/article\/triad-nurse-says-she-was-suspended-over-joke-tiktok-videos\/36867564\">WXII 12 News<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"8\">\n<p><em>The Citadel at Winston Salem was made aware of TikTok videos by an employee last week. Our team investigated content and acted immediately. Misuse and unprofessional use of social media platforms by employees violates our core values and is not tolerated. Any form of resident abuse is never tolerated. Be assured we have handled the situation and reported her actions to all appropriate state and federal agencies. We love our residents; provide for and protect them every day. We are grateful for the global healthcare team that protects the elderly with pride in our profession.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMorris said she thinks this is an example of so-called \u2018cancel culture\u2019 and said she feels as though it is a targeted campaign against her from people who do not understand humor,\u201d WXII News reported.<\/p>\n<p>As of Sunday morning, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/firednurse?qid=2eb5dd50f46c1c7a1c834fee4e8c9173\">GoFundMe<\/a> page has raised $210 of the $20,000 goal. The page reads, \u201cFirst I\u2019m going to say to the people that were offended by my \u2018jokes\u2019 on TikTok, I will apologize. No one was actually harmed or in any danger, they were bad taste jokes. I am out of work due to these \u2018jokes.\u2019 Second, I still have children that are in my custody as a single mother that still need basic needs.
