Reports on Thursday cited a recent survey showing 55 percent of teachers said the option to teach CRT in K-12 education should not exist.<\/p>\n<p>Parents across the country have also publicly opposed the teachings be added to the curriculum of their children\u2019s education. Almost half of U.S. states have proposed legislation against the indoctrination of children through CRT in public schools.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CriticalRaceTheory?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CriticalRaceTheory<\/a> is a Marxist ideology that sees the world as a battle, not between the classes \u2013 as classical Marxism does \u2013 but between the races. It\u2019s inherently bigoted. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7jhyzbTPnP\">pic.twitter.com\/7jhyzbTPnP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenTedCruz\/status\/1410641784179499009?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 1, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey was conducted by the Association of American Educators and over 1,000 responses from teachers across the country were collected. Results showed 96 percent of schools were not requiring curriculum to include CRT. This suggests the recent frenzy that has been projected by the media does not accurately depict what happening been happening in classrooms. The majority of teachers reported their curriculum did not change amidst the past year\u2019s CRT movement to highlight racial equity and injustice.<\/p>\n<p>Five states have signed bills banning critical race theory from being taught in public schools.
