The statement didn\u2019t say who Doran dressed up as.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did not comprehend at the time the hurtful nature of my actions,\u201d Doran said in a statement. \u201cI know now that an act of this nature is considered to be racist. Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam had a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/04\/11\/northam-campaign-abortion-blackface\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">photo<\/a> from his 1984 senior yearbook resurface that showed two people dressed in blackface and one in Ku Klux Klan (KKK) robes in February 2019.<\/p>\n<p>At least 14 Idaho school employees were put on administrative leave after <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/11\/04\/border-wall-costume-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wearing<\/a> costumes of former President Donald Trump\u2019s proposed border wall and others that depicted Mexicans in November 2018, and a Missouri teacher was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/11\/14\/missouri-teacher-student-kkk-costume\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">suspended<\/a> indefinitely after a student wore a KKK costume for a class presentation in November 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
