Garret Graves (R) recently gave his perspective on what is holding back legislation on infrastructure. On the House floor on Wednesday, Graves pointed out all the bipartisan work that has already been done to improve the fabric of the country.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated what many Republicans have been saying about the bill, which is that it\u2019s not about infrastructure. He added the process needed to be fixed for delivering these projects due to it being severely flawed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This bill is not infrastructure. It&#8217;s not solving road and traffic problems plaguing this country.<\/p>\n<p>Why are we building projects that have been around for decades? Garret Graves (@RepGarretGraves) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepGarretGraves\/status\/1410359757844660228?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 30, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBy simply putting good money on top of bad, all it will do is increase the number of bad outcomes we already have,\u201d argued Graves.<\/p>\n<p>Graves, who served on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, is one of several lawmakers who support the alternative Starter Act.
