\u201cAffirmatively advancing equity, civil rights, racial justice, and equal opportunity is the responsibility of the whole of our Government.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBecause advancing equity requires a systematic approach to embedding fairness in decision-making processes, executive departments and agencies (agencies) must recognize and work to redress inequities in their policies and programs that serve as barriers to equal opportunity,\u201d the policy continues.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Department of Energy did not respond to The Daily Wire\u2019s request for comment.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This is not the Biden administration\u2019s first attempt at distributing funds based on race.&nbsp;<\/span><span>The administration included several provisions for race-based funding in its $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package, including one that provided loan forgiveness to \u201csocially disadvantaged\u201d farmers.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>12 farmers across nine states filed a lawsuit against the policy. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/judge-orders-temporary-halt-4b-federal-loan-relief-program-farmers-n1270512\"><span>NBC News<\/span><\/a><span> reported that a Wisconsin federal judge placed a temporary halt on the program, ruling that the white farmers \u201care likely to succeed on the merits of their claim\u201d and that the \u201cuse of race-based criteria in the administration of the program violates [the farmer\u2019s] right to equal protection under the law.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/judge-halts-biden-4-billion-relief-program-that-excludes-white-farmers-discrimination-based-on-race\"><span>The Daily Wire<\/span><\/a><span> reported that a federal judge in Florida issued a preliminary injunction on Biden\u2019s relief program for farmers as well. The Florida judge argued that the program was marred in \u201cgovernmentally imposed discrimination based on race.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The COVID relief bill also included a provision that seemingly discriminated against white restaurant owners.
