Greg Abbott (R) made a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border on Wednesday. The two visited Weslaco, Texas, where Trump held a roundtable with the governor and later visited a portion of unfinished border wall.<\/p>\n<p>During the roundtable, the president said the country is in a \u201csick state,\u201d citing the state of the southern border under Joe Biden and the integrity of the 2020 elections. \u201cBut we have a sick country in many ways. He also added, at this point it is unlikely things will go back to the way they were under his administration.<\/p>\n<p>Since entering the White House, Biden had done a number of things to peel back Trump\u2019s border policies. This including halting the construction of the southern border wall and ending Trump\u2019s \u201cRemain in Mexico\u201d program.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Cartels, smugglers &amp; human traffickers are profiting off Biden&#8217;s dangerous open border policies. <\/p>\n<p>Illegal border crossings have risen 838% from last year. Seizures of deadly fentanyl have increased 2100%. <\/p>\n<p>Texas will protect our communities, build the wall, &amp; secure the border. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Y4RtcKzRus\">pic.twitter.com\/Y4RtcKzRus<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GregAbbott_TX\/status\/1410333499614236673?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 30, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Later in the day, Trump and Abbott both traveled to a segment of border wall where the 45th president briefly tore into Democrats for running disastrous elections. \u201cBiden is destroying our country and it all started with a fake election,\u201d stated Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Trump then took aim at the trafficking crisis on the southern border, saying it was almost a non-issue under his leadership. \u201cWe stopped them.
