Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has doubled down on defunding the police. During a recent town hall, the New York Democrat said concerns about the nation\u2019s crime surge are simply \u201chysteria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her remarks came just days after the <a href=\"https:\/\/fop.net\/\">National Fraternal Order of Police<\/a> reported shootings in New York City rose 64 percent this year compared with this time in 2020.
