In order to prevent overdoses, test strips are being legalized to detect the opioid which is more potent than morphine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA deadly dose of Fentanyl is not very much at all, it\u2019s a couple of granules\u2026and because it\u2019s showing up in drugs and people don\u2019t know it, because it\u2019s not regulated in any capacity, and because it\u2019s so strong and potent it is accidently being mixed into drugs, or it\u2019s really easy to accidently put too much in a drug,\u201d stated Executive Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/spwaz.org\/\">Sonoran Prevention Works<\/a> Haley Coles.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, over 50 percent of overdose deaths were related to fentanyl and the situation has only grown since the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden\u2019s Border Crisis is fueling the opioid crisis.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FJzXnKOvgl\">pic.twitter.com\/FJzXnKOvgl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 GOP (@GOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOP\/status\/1408891585404755969?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The small strips of paper allow users to test if their drugs are laced with fentanyl.
