Banks advised to lean into the culture war \u201cbecause the backlash against CRT is real.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the Indiana lawmaker said that we are winning on the culture war because of the issue. \u201cWe are in a culture war. On one side, Republicans are working to renew American patriotism and rebuild our country,\u201d said Banks. \u201cOn the other, Democrats have embraced and given platform to a radical element who want to tear America down.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Critical Race Theory and it&#8217;s derivative teachings promote an ideology that completely contradicts Martin Luther King Jr&#8217;s message of equality and love. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wgyw9336Cm\">pic.twitter.com\/wgyw9336Cm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RSC (@RepublicanStudy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepublicanStudy\/status\/1408468097808338946?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 25, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to polling by \u201cHeritage,\u201d more than three-quarters of voters are opposed to CRT being taught in schools. Additionally, more than 60 percent of voters also disagree that the U.S. is an inherently racist country.<\/p>\n<p>Banks pointed to grassroots movements by parents across the country standing up to school boards because they are fed up with the lessons being taught.
