Speaking to reporters after their meeting on Friday, Washington Metro Police Officer Michael Fanone and Capitol Hill Officer Harry Dunn said they asked McCarthy to denounce the Republicans who voted against the Gold Medal Bill.<\/p>\n<p>The two officers also asked for the Republican lawmaker to publicly address the issues surrounding the demonstration with those members. I might need some rest, as we all do,\u201d Dunn expressed. \u201cWe just want to get better and we want justice, accountability, that\u2019s what we\u2019re looking for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The meeting comes amid the announcement that a House Select Committee will look into the January 6 event.
