In his weekly press briefing on Friday, McCarthy covered everything from the border and gun control to infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>He criticized Joe Biden\u2019s executive orders, especially those targeting border security. McCarthy said the ongoing crisis came to fruition because of the administration\u2019s poor decisions. McCarthy urged Kamala Harris to advise Biden to reverse the orders upon her return from the border.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The \u201cDefund the Police\u201d campaign\u2014endorsed by Democrats\u2014has decimated our law enforcement, pushed them to leave their profession, and in some cases have even put a target on their backs.<\/p>\n<p>When Republicans are in the majority, we will FUND the police. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/R8pE0SrJaO\">https:\/\/t.co\/R8pE0SrJaO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPLeader\/status\/1408448504666677259?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 25, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He then went on to demand clarity from China and suggested his Democrat colleagues join Republicans in holding the country accountable.
