Ted Cruz introduced legislation Friday that would prevent any federal funds from going to an agency that teaches critical race theory (CRT) in workplace training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe federal government has no right to force a political agenda onto Americans, especially one that aims to tear down our institutions and divide us based on race,\u201d Cruz said in a statement. \u201c[CRT] originated out of the critical race studies movement. It is a Marxist ideology that sees the world as a battle, not between the classes \u2013 as classical Marxism does \u2013 but between the races.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/24\/rashida-tlaib-racism-critical-race-theory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CRT<\/a> holds that America is <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/18\/common-lies-pro-critical-race-theory-media-telling-concerned-parents-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fundamentally racist<\/a>, yet it teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue \u201cantiracism\u201d through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/24\/critical-race-theory-origins-derrick-bell-kimberle-crenshaw-richard-delgado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Where Did Critical Race Theory Get Its Start?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is inherently bigoted,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"5.8181818181818\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Critical Race Theory is bigoted and it is based on a mountain of lies. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8IuSaqAsnS\">https:\/\/t.co\/8IuSaqAsnS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tedcruz\/status\/1408422095709786119?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 25, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump signed an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2020\/09\/28\/2020-21534\/combating-race-and-sex-stereotyping\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">executive order<\/a> in September banning federal agencies from promoting or training employees about concepts that hold \u201cone race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex\u201d or that the U.S. \u201cis fundamentally racist or sexist,\u201d among other things.<\/p>\n<p>The order also said diversity and inclusion efforts in federal agencies must encourage employees to not \u201cjudge each other by their color, race, ethnicity, sex, or any other characteristic protected by Federal Law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Upon taking office, President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-advancing-racial-equity-and-support-for-underserved-communities-through-the-federal-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">issued<\/a> an executive order called, \u201cAdvancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government;\u201d it forced all agencies within 60 days to \u201cterminate or restrict contracts or grants pursuant to [Trump\u2019s September executive order].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cruz\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruz.senate.gov\/files\/documents\/Bills\/20210624_ENDCRTAct.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">legislation<\/a> would restrict \u201cexecutive agencies from acting against President Trump\u2019s initial executive order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn President Biden\u2019s first day in office, he rescinded the Trump administration\u2019s commonsense executive order ensuring no government funding goes to anti-American or racist and sexist training, like CRT, in the workplace,\u201d Cruz said. \u201cPresident Biden\u2019s decision was unsurprising but shows the Democratic Party will stop at nothing to indoctrinate Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Republican Utah Rep. Burgess Owens <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/14\/burgess-owens-critical-race-theory-overturn-joe-biden-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">introduced a similar piece of legislation<\/a> in the House in May, which was first reported by the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Texas Sen.
