They\u2019re worried that they\u2019ll be vaccinated and deported.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden provided no evidence to support his claim. 38% of Latinos have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, compared to 46% of whites and 33% of African-Americans, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/coronavirus-covid-19\/issue-brief\/latest-data-on-covid-19-vaccinations-race-ethnicity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the Kaiser Family Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Only 3% of Latinos use the term \u201cLatinx\u201d to describe themselves, a 2019 Pew <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/hispanic\/2020\/08\/11\/about-one-in-four-u-s-hispanics-have-heard-of-latinx-but-just-3-use-it\/https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/hispanic\/2020\/08\/11\/about-one-in-four-u-s-hispanics-have-heard-of-latinx-but-just-3-use-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">survey<\/a> found. Less than 0.5% of Latinos over the age of 65 used the term to describe themselves, and only 23% were familiar with the term. Pew surveyed 3,030 Latinos in December 2019, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/hispanic\/2020\/08\/11\/latinx-methodology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">margin<\/a> of error of 2.9%.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also claimed that \u201cit\u2019s been harder to get African-Americans, initially, to get vaccinated, because it used to be that they experimented on them. The Tuskegee Airmen, and others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That comment was an apparent reference to the Tuskegee Experiment when doctors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/tuskegee\/timeline.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">followed<\/a> black men who suffered from syphilis in order to observe the progression of the disease. The study is now considered highly unethical since the men could have been treated with penicillin.<\/p>\n<p>The Tuskegee <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/02\/04\/tuskegee-airman-salute-trump-finger-gun\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Airmen<\/a> were a group of African-American fighter pilots who served in World War II.
