It\u2019s a lie,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve been in denial. I\u2019ve been in shock. I am traumatized. Fake it \u2019til you make it, but now I\u2019m telling you the truth, OK? I\u2019m not happy. I can\u2019t sleep. I\u2019m depressed. I cry every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the key revelations Spears shared with Judge Brenda Penny is that her father\u2019s team has prevented her from marrying her longtime boyfriend Sam Ashgari and has mandated she stay on birth control to prevent her from having any additional children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was told right now in the conservatorship, I\u2019m not able to get married or have a baby,\u201d the 39-year-old said. \u201cI have an I[U]D inside of myself right now so I don\u2019t get pregnant. I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby, but this so-called team won\u2019t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don\u2019t want me to have children, any more children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spears also accused her father of keeping her on the psychotropic drug Lithium against her will.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a strong drug. You can go mentally impaired if you stay on it longer than 5 months. I felt drunk, I couldn\u2019t even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Reading from a prepared statement, reprinted in full at <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/music\/news\/britney-spears-full-statement-conservatorship-1235003940\/\">Variety<\/a>, Spears addressed Penny\u2019s previous dismissal of her concerns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t been back to court in a long time, because I don\u2019t think I was heard on any level when I came to court the last time. I brought four sheets of paper in my hands and wrote in length what I had been through the last four months before I came there \u2026 The last time I spoke to you \u2026 made me feel like I was dead, like I didn\u2019t matter, like nothing had been done to me, like you thought I was lying,\u201d Spears said. \u201cI want to be heard. I\u2019m telling you this again so that maybe you understand the depth and degree and the damage \u2026 I want and deserve changes going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spears ended her comments by directly asking Penny to give her back control over her estate and her life. \u201cBasically this conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good. I deserve to have a life. I\u2019ve worked my whole life,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel ganged up on, I feel bullied, I feel left out and alone. I\u2019m tired of feeling alone.
