The lawsuit was filed by a group of scientists led by Senator Kennedy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is, however, no indication the Supreme Court \u201ccanceled universal vaccination\u201d in a ruling. A search through the Supreme Court\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/slipopinion\/20\">recent opinions<\/a> showed no case regarding universal vaccines. Check Your Fact also looked through the Supreme Court\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/docket\/docket.aspx?Search=mandated+vaccines&#038;type=Docket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">docket<\/a> and did not find any case mentioning such a thing. Nor was there a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/docket\/docket.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">case<\/a> mentioning both Gates and Fauci.<\/p>\n<p>Had a lawsuit filed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. against Gates and Fauci led to the Supreme Court deciding against universal vaccines, media outlets would have reported on it, yet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Supreme+Court+decides+against+mandatory+vaccine&#038;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS890US890&#038;ei=vLTQYIDRBdKi5NoPpeetsAU&#038;oq=Supreme+Court+decides+against+mandatory+vaccine&#038;gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBggAEBYQHjoHCAAQRxCwAzoFCAAQkQI6CAgAELEDEIMBOggILhCxAxCDAToFCAAQsQM6BAgAEEM6CwguELEDEMcBEKMCOgUILhCxAzoCCAA6BwgAELEDEEM6CAguEMcBEK8BOgQIABAKUMDAxAJYnYPFAmDMhcUCaAVwAngAgAFziAG8G5IBBDQ3LjOYAQCgAQGqAQdnd3Mtd2l6yAEIwAEB&#038;sclient=gws-wiz&#038;ved=0ahUKEwiAn6zOianxAhVSEVkFHaVzC1YQ4dUDCA8&#038;uact=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">none<\/a> have done so. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/12\/22\/fact-check-pfizer-create-covid-vaccine-vaporizer-cartridge\/\">(RELATED: Did Pfizer Create A COVID-19 Vaccine \u2018Vaporizer Cartridge\u2019?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 1905, the Supreme Court ruled in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oyez.org\/cases\/1900-1940\/197us11\">Jacobson v. Massachusetts<\/a> that state laws requiring vaccines do not violate the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/constitution\/amendmentxiv\">14th Amendment<\/a>, according to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/constitutioncenter.org\/blog\/on-this-day-the-supreme-court-rules-on-vaccines-and-public-health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Constitution Center<\/a>. The court in 1922 upheld the ruling in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/supremecourt\/text\/260\/174\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zucht v. King<\/a>, a case about school districts mandating vaccines for school children, per the Constitution Center.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) stated that employers can require employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine, though there are medical and religious exemptions, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/05\/28\/1001116485\/for-employers-the-law-is-mostly-on-their-side-when-it-comes-to-vaccines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NPR<\/a>. The EEOC also allowed companies to require flu shots and other vaccines, the outlet reported. A 2019 Congressional Research Service report\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fas.org\/sgp\/crs\/misc\/LSB10300.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">found<\/a>\u00a0that all states and the District of Columbia require specific vaccines for school children, with some states allowing exemptions.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Kennedy is not a senator, further adding to the post\u2019s dubiousness. He is a lawyer who has previously published misinformation about vaccines, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/rjf-jr-banned-instagram-vaccine-misinfo-d72913572f04ec9b23cec58881bc32d9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post appears to reference a baseless claim that has been circulating since at least 2019. Anti-vaccine group Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) in 2018 filed a Freedom of Information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national\/health-science\/meet-the-new-york-couple-donating-millions-to-the-anti-vax-movement\/2019\/06\/18\/9d791bcc-8e28-11e9-b08e-cfd89bd36d4e_story.html\">lawsuit<\/a>, handled by the Southern District of New York, asking the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for vaccine safety reports, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/factcheck.afp.com\/us-supreme-court-did-not-rule-against-mandatory-vaccination\">AFP<\/a>. When HHS said the reports couldn\u2019t be found, ICAN erroneously claimed the agency had not studied vaccine side effects for 30 years, the outlet reported.
