Only 18% were opposed to such measures. Election administration issues such as voter ID and early voting <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/03\/media-texas-voter-bill-harris-county-houston-minorities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">have become polarized<\/a> amid voting reform efforts across the country, but a significant majority, or 71%, also said they support making early in-person voting easier to access.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"11.644444444444\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NATIONAL POLL: 80% support requiring photo ID to vote, but 71% also want in-person early voting to be easier.<\/p>\n<p>50% want to make vote-by-mail easier; 39% want it to be harder.<\/p>\n<p>69% support national guidelines for early voting and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/VBM?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#VBM<\/a>.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/votingrights?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#votingrights<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2ZZbD8whKy\">https:\/\/t.co\/2ZZbD8whKy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MonmouthPoll (@MonmouthPoll) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MonmouthPoll\/status\/1406990896319578119?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 21, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The country remains more divided on vote-by-mail, following ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/03\/ted-cruz-election-audit-dismissing-election-fraud-claims-real-violence-democratic-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">disputes over its security and accuracy<\/a> in the 2020 election. The split falls along party lines, mirroring <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/09\/11\/democrats-out-pace-republicans-early-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the polarization of voting methods<\/a> last year. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/06\/georgia-voting-law-poll-morning-consult\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0More Americans Support Georgia Voting Law Than Oppose)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monmouth found that 50% of respondents said voting by mail should be easier to access while 39% said it should be more difficult. An overwhelming 84% of Democrats supported making the method easier. Just 40% of independents and 26% of Republicans said the same.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe poll contains some seemingly conflicting information on voter access. The bottom line seems to be that most Democrats and Republicans want to take the potential for election results to be questioned off the table,\u201d\u00a0said Monmouth University Polling Institute director Patrick Murray in the poll\u2019s press release. \u201cThe problem, though, is they aren\u2019t likely to agree on how to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A third of Americans believe that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election due to voter fraud, a figure that has not changed since November, according to Monmouth.<\/p>\n<p>The partisan split on the issue was also significant, with 63% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents saying that Biden won due to voter fraud, Monmouth found.
