The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the same month <a href=\"https:\/\/email.punchbowl.news\/t\/ViewEmail\/t\/BE41A930BA6A253E2540EF23F30FEDED\/085F4E12A420C62D5281BC0AA5ABFD98\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brought in<\/a> just under $10 million.<\/p>\n<p>The May fundraising hauls bring the NRCC&#8217;s cash on hand to $42.1 million, topping the DCCC&#8217;s cash reserves by $6 million.<\/p>\n<p>Both groups have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/republicans-democrats-smash-first-quarter-fundraising-records-eyes-midterms-1584045\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scored<\/a> record fundraising numbers this year. The DCCC narrowly outraised the NRCC in April, but a $5 million boost from the Republican National Committee helped put the NRCC on top in May.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans are looking to retake control of the House in the 2022 midterms after losing power in 2018.
