Marjorie Taylor Greene will introduce legislation Thursday morning that would abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) if signed into law.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Caller first obtained the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/512069235\/DAILY-CALLER-OBTAINED-Eliminate-ATF-Act-Bill-Text?secret_password=xe3pEcHigUPuOkOglgz8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">legislation<\/a>, titled the \u201cBrian A. Terry Memorial Eliminate the ATF Act.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bill was named after Marine and Border Patrol Agent <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/02\/13\/man-convicted-killing-agent-brian-terry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brian Terry,<\/a> who was killed in a gunfight after a group of armed men attempted to rob smugglers who were transporting drugs from Mexico to the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/01\/01\/unraveling-the-mystery-of-how-a-border-patrol-agent-died-in-west-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terry<\/a> was part of a high-ranking <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/09\/16\/border-patrol-serial-killer\/\">Border Patrol unit<\/a> and was participating in operation \u201cFast and Furious,\u201d which <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/man-convicted-1st-degree-murder-border-agents-death-61034802\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">allowed federal agents to let known criminals<\/a> buy weapons in order to track the purchases to other criminal organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The legislation\u2019s cosponsors include South Carolina Republican Ralph Norman, Arizona Republican Rep. Paul Gosar and Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/09\/david-chipman-atf-tucker-carlson-conspiracy-nut-waco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018Unhinged From Reality\u2019: Tucker Carlson Blasts Biden\u2019s ATF Nominee As \u2018Conspiracy Nut\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here Is What The Legislation Would Do According To Greene\u2019s Office:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Repeals all ATF regulations and guidance after August 1, 2020, to the date of enactment; rescinds hiring authority for the Bureau, and abolishes the Bureau 6 months after the date of enactment.<\/li>\n<li>Alcohol, Tobacco, and other regulatory functions are transferred back to the FBI.<\/li>\n<li>Requires that the Bureau publish an itemized list on their website of all confiscated firearms and ammunition possessed by the Bureau, which must be sold to Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealers via public auction before the Bureau closes.<\/li>\n<li>Proceeds from the auction are placed into a fund for the families of border patrol officers killed in the line of duty as a result of Operation Fast and Furious (i.e. after December 1, 2009), providing grants up to $150,000 per family affected.<\/li>\n<li>Any remaining funds not used by 2032 will be re-directed to a program awarding states grant funds to establish firearm safety programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>READ THE LEGISLATION HERE:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"View (DAILY CALLER OBTAINED) -- Eliminate ATF Act Bill Text on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/512069235\/DAILY-CALLER-OBTAINED-Eliminate-ATF-Act-Bill-Text#from_embed\">(DAILY CALLER OBTAINED) \u2014 \u2026<\/a> by <a title=\"View Henry Rodgers's profile on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/user\/527927298\/Henry-Rodgers#from_embed\">Henry Rodgers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden and the radical, anti-gun Democrats want to unleash the ATF on law-abiding gun owners across America, attacking our God-given Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. This can NEVER be allowed to happen again. These days, they exist solely to attack the Second Amendment and the tens of millions of proud gun owners who fight to defend it.
