Putin held a press conference after their meeting, which was shortly followed by Biden\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>One of the topics both covered was cybersecurity. The Russian leader denied his country was the largest cyber threat on the globe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to U.S. sources, the majority of cyberattacks in the world are performed from U.S. cyberspace,\u201d he explained. \u201c\u2026Russia is not listed among the cyberspaces where the majority of cyberattacks come from.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Putin knows he doesn\u2019t have to concede anything when Biden is willing to seek a \u201cstable and predictable\u201d relationship at all costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Bill Hagerty (@SenatorHagerty) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenatorHagerty\/status\/1405329054476259332?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 17, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Although Biden appeared to double down by warning of possible retaliation if Russia were to launch cyberattacks against American infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI talked about the proposition that certain critical infrastructures should be off limits to attack, period, by cyber or any other means,\u201d he asserted. \u201c\u202616 specific entities, 16 defined as critical infrastructure under U.S. policy from the energy sector to our water systems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both politicians seemed to express the meeting went well.
