I look forward to the day when we look back and say how could abortion have ever been allowed in this country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ohden <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/06\/06\/busy-phillips-late-term-abortion-survivor\/\">previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation<\/a> that she survived her mother\u2019s abortion at 31 weeks after doctors misleadingly told her mother that her unborn baby was only 18-20 weeks along. The abortion survivor said that her mother\u2019s parents orchestrated a forced saline infusion abortion with the help of her grandmother\u2019s colleague, the local abortionist.<\/p>\n<p>Saline infusion abortion is intended to poison and scald the child to death over 72 hours as the baby soaks in the fluid injected into the womb, Ohden said, after which doctors would then induce premature labor.<\/p>\n<p>Ohden said the doctors struggled to induce her birthmother, leading Ohden to soak in the saline solution for not three but five days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey did finally succeed that fifth day, and I was delivered at St. Luke\u2019s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, in the final step of the abortion procedure, expected to be a successful abortion\u2014a deceased child, but when I was expelled from the womb, I was accidentally born alive,\u201d Ohden told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI now know from admissions of my biological family that my grandmother was there when I was delivered alive and demanded to the nurses that they leave me to die,\u201d Ohden said. \u201cWe may never know how long I was \u2018laid aside,\u2019 in the words of a nurse who has communicated with me about her experience that day, but we know that ultimately, a \u2018tall, blond nurse,\u2019 rushed me to the NICU shouting out, \u2018she just kept gasping for breath and I couldn\u2019t just leave her there to die.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"6.8378378378378\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We are joining <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdvocatesTweets?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AdvocatesTweets<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AbortionFunds?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AbortionFunds<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FWHC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FWHC<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nwlc?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@nwlc<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NCLRights?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NCLRights<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LatinaInstitute?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LatinaInstitute<\/a> in supporting the Women\u2019s Health Protection Act, a federal bill to protect access to abortion care.
